Dr Marium Jamaluddin Ahmad is an ophthalmologist with a subspecialty interest in vitreoretinal surgery, retinal imaging and clinical education. She obtained her MBBS degree from Universiti Malaya and subsequently completed her postgraduate training in ophthalmology at the same university. She further pursued advanced surgical retina fellowship training at the National University Hospital and the University of Auckland.

 

Her clinical interests include vitreoretinal surgery, retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, postoperative retinal care and the application of multimodal retinal imaging to improve diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making. Dr Marium is also actively involved in teaching, journal appraisal and professional education for ophthalmology trainees and multidisciplinary teams.

 

Beyond her clinical work, she has contributed to ophthalmic service development, patient pathway improvement and departmental governance initiatives. She is committed to advancing retinal care through surgical expertise, imaging technology, research and collaborative clinical practice.
